Lower extremity and venous diseases have been known to man since they appeared. The treatment of varicose veins in the legs is suitable for women and men. The disease is an enlargement of the superficial veins of the lower extremities. It is accompanied by impaired blood flow and valve failure.
There are 4 forms of varicose veins. According to clinical classification, trouble does not always bother people. In the initial stage, the symptoms are not obvious or the signs are very insignificant. Some patients have enough visits to nursing homes each year, and the second patient needs to be treated in a specialized medical center.
Conservative treatment
The treatment of varicose veins is carried out under the supervision of doctors in specialized centers. In selected difficult cases, surgical intervention is inevitable, but conservative methods are used together with surgery. Only a surgeon can get rid of the advanced stage, but it is possible to slow down vascular disease and improve health through conservative methods.
Here are some examples of the treatment of varicose veins. There are two conservative methods:
Compression method
In the past, special bandages made of dog hair had to be used to bandage the lower limbs. A simple option has now been created:
- Compressed sweatshirt
- Elastic bandage
- Elastic bandage.
In medical centers, sweatshirts are often used and can be replaced with bandages-they are cheaper and sometimes more suitable for specific treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities. Patients buy these items for treatment by themselves, and then use them at home for prevention or follow the doctor’s advice. Positive consequences:
- Reduce venous diameter, reflux, ballast blood volume, capillary filtration;
- Increase blood flow speed, venous pump efficiency, absorption, lymphatic drainage;
- Eliminate reflux in some cases.
There are many details to consider when choosing a compression product. If you talk about bandages, for lower limb diseases, use short and medium elastic bandages. Allow the use of a mixture of bandages to form an elastic bandage. When it comes to knitwear (stockings, knee-length, tights), underwear should be purchased according to personal parameters.
Medication method
There are many medicines designed to effectively treat varicose veins. It is not recommended to choose drugs by yourself. It is best to follow the doctor’s advice to avoid worsening the condition of the lower extremities.
Very interesting in the treatment is the drug ASD for the treatment of varicose veins. It is sold in two forms:
- Part 2-External and internal use. The liquid presents a color ranging from light yellow to deep red, and has a pungent odor.
- Part 3-External use. The liquid has an oily structure and the color varies from dark brown to black.
The dissolution method of the distillate is different. ASD 2 is soluble in water, and ASD 3 is assimilated only in oil and alcohol. Add the second part to the water, mix and take orally according to the instructions (15 drops per 100ml of water/tea, 2 times a day, 30 minutes before meals). Use will affect the enhancement of blood vessel wall immunity.
A well-known remedy is an ointment based on troxerutin, which is used to treat varicose veins. The application is intuitive, and sometimes it is necessary to combine the gel with the capsule of the same name. If there is no improvement, it is worth contacting the nearest clinic or specialist center. The ointment is easy to apply:
- Wash the lower limbs thoroughly with laundry soap. You can add a few drops of iodine or hydrogen peroxide to the water.
- After washing, dry your feet with a towel.
- The gel is squeezed out of the tube onto the palm of the hand and transferred to the surface of the problem area with varicose veins and diseased blood vessels.
- Gently apply the ointment until it is completely absorbed by the skin.
- From above, you can wrap your legs with elastic bandages or wear compression products.
It is impossible to treat varicose veins with ointment. But using the means, notice:
- Effective treatment of varicose veins;
- Eliminate signs of venous insufficiency;
- improve the quality of life;
- Keep working ability;
- Prevent recurrence.
Medications for varicose veins of the lower extremities are not feasible, and medications alone cannot be used. However, the use of funds is important to prevent weak veins and speed up the healing process. These drugs can increase tension, microcirculation and inhibit inflammation. The drugs prescribed by doctors are well tolerated by most patients.
Surgical methods
It is very important for patients to know how to get rid of varicose veins of the lower extremities 100%. Only surgical intervention will help. Doctors always find out the specific cause of varicose veins in advance. The doctor will try to stop this process, slow it down, and prevent it from getting worse. Sometimes the cause is hereditary, and the hereditary aspects of blood vessel weakness are obvious.
Referral to the clinic is not always a panacea. In the future, we will have to work hard to avoid relapse and start a healthy lifestyle. This is something everyone can do. If there are good reasons for surgical intervention in the medical center, the patient will have one of the possible operations:
- Phlebectomy. Lasts 1. 5 hours. It involves removing diseased veins. It may be necessary to stay in a nursing home during the recovery period. Although the operation is non-invasive, there may be a risk of small scars.
- Sclerotherapy. It is important to walk for an hour after the operation. The process is to puncture a vein to introduce "sticky" drugs inside. Need to control the ultrasound machine. The specialized center method is very famous in the treatment of blood vessels.
- Laser coagulation. It is considered to be the latest method to eliminate varicose veins in the legs. After the puncture, special anesthesia is performed, and then endovascular occlusion is performed. Many requirements are stipulated during the postoperative period. Put on a compression bandage immediately after solidification and wear it for 5 consecutive days.
- Radiofrequency coagulation. The method is similar to the previous one. For local anesthesia, there is no need to be hospitalized in the clinic and no incisions are made. The doctor acted under the control of the ultrasound scan.
It is recommended to follow the advice of the surgeon. The correct postoperative behavior will make you recover faster. Here, the lower limb veins need to be healed conservatively.
Traditional medicine and exercise therapy
Many patients look for treatments for varicose veins outside of medical centers and surgeons, worrying about scars and payment checks. There are usually similar diagnoses, and many procedures are contraindicated: from Charcot's shower to massage. Patients are looking for alternative medicine methods to combat varicose veins.
The use of soda to treat varicose veins is common in folk medicine. The following procedures are performed on the substance:
- Medicated bath. A 200-liter bathtub requires 7 tablespoons. Lake soda water, or in a 5 liter bucket or basin-200 grams of soda water and 60 grams of alum (buy at the pharmacy). Duration-15-20 minutes.
- Drinking solution. Add 1 teaspoon to a cup of hot water. Soda water, stir well and drink. It should be drunk 2 cups a day in two ways-in the morning and in the evening.
- compression. Famous and simple-use cabbage. Dip the cabbage leaves with laundry soap, spread soda water on the legs, and cover the legs with soda water on top of the cabbage and soap. The compress is secured with a bandage and lasts overnight. You can use a compressed bag of white bread soaked in apple cider vinegar. Sprinkle the soaked breadcrumbs with soda water, spread them on the legs, fix them with a bandage, and leave them overnight.
Soap deserves attention. It is better to use family because of its composition. The soap should be ground on a fine-grain grater. Grind the soap into a dry powder, which is easy to soak, use and store. Allowed for leg health:
- Aspirin tincture lotion (10 tablets) and vodka laundry soap (200-250 ml). Pre-inject the mixture for 48-50 hours.
- Ointment made of laundry soap (150 g), spruce resin (100 g), olive oil (150 g), beeswax (50 g) and propolis (50 g). The ingredients are heated in a water bath, the resulting mixture is cooled and stored in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
- Use laundry soap to foam. Soak the sore leg with soap, sprinkle with salt, and cover with cabbage.
They talk about the benefits of iodine nets. Easy to apply:
- Rub the legs with vinegar;
- Use apple cider vinegar;
- Using iodine and cotton swabs, draw a vertical net/stripes on the varicose veins;
- Take 5% iodine solution;
- Draw a stripe every 1 cm, touching the vertical and horizontal lines.
It is best to draw a grid with iodine before going to bed. In the morning, the pattern has been absorbed by the skin. Test first to make sure there is no allergic reaction. Use a stick to apply iodine to healthy areas of the skin. After an hour, check the inspection area. If there is no redness or scratches on the skin, wash off the iodine and put a screen on the problem area.
When it comes to hydrogen peroxide, be careful. Treatment is only prescribed by a doctor. The doctor will help you correctly calculate the dose and use the specified options to improve the possibility of varicose veins:
- in. The first day of treatment-3 times a day, a few hours after meals. Mix hydrogen peroxide (1 drop) and boiling water (3 tablespoons). On the second day, use 2 drops of hydrogen peroxide, then add 1 drop (10 drops) when you reach the 10th day of treatment. Rest for 72 hours. Resumption of reception: Peroxide is taken for 2 days, 10 drops each time, 3 days off, 2 days-treatment, then 3 days off again.
- Intravenous injection. Buy a hydrogen solution in a pharmacy and dilute it to 0. 15%. The doctor injects no more than a quarter liter of the solution at a time.
Patients understand the healing power of aloe vera firsthand. Most people have centennials on their windowsills, which can be found in the corridors of hospitals and nursing homes, in villages and large cities. Need to prepare to apply aloe vera juice.
- Use the oldest aloe leaf. Preferably not less than 3 years. The choice is easy-the lower leaves will get old, which means they are valuable.
- It is important to scald the cut leaves with boiling water and dry them.
- After drying, transfer the aloe vera to the refrigerator to soak for a week.
- After cold soaking, grind the product as finely as possible in a blender or with a knife.
- With the help of gauze, the aloe vera juice is filtered out and used in the formula.
There is a famous mummy recipe. For 100 grams of aloe vera (juice obtained by the above method), take 5 grams of mummies. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained. The resulting mixture was applied to varicose veins legs. The most important thing is not to use this method when the disease has worsened. In autumn and spring, it is best to leave the aloe vera medicine overnight or all day after application, and put on pressure underwear or elastic bandage first. After compression, the legs should be lubricated with vegetable oil (St. John's Wort).
Modern treatment methods include rest in a nursing home. It is best to choose a nursing home that focuses on blood vessel healing.
